Testimonials

best friends Moki the dog & Kiki the cat

We are so grateful that Evelyn (Auntie Evie, etc) lived with and cared for our 4 cats and three dogs for two weeks. We were able to travel with total peace of mind. Our babies received big time TLC. Two of the dogs were fairly new, having come from the Humane Society. One is a rescued, abused hunting dog. Evelyn, and Mark, made a special effort to help Tommy feel safer in the world and with humans. He was noticeably changed when we returned.

I am able to rest completely easy when I have to leave home, knowing that you are caring for both my "kids" and my house. I have 3 kitties and when I return from a trip they are all calm & content because you have not only fed them, but played with them also.
I especially am grateful for the fact that you are in charge when there is a medical emergency when I am gone. My kids are in capable hands with you.

Leaving our kitties is never easy, but knowing that they are in the care of Evelyn & her Aunties gives reassurance they will be not only be well cared for, but also receive lots of T.L.C. & attention. As one our of kitties is elderly, it is a comfort to know that someone with a background of veterinary care will be on hand to attend to any emergency. The first time we used Paws in the Pines I was truly impressed with the in-depth information & profile that Evelyn requested on each of our boys - yet another sign that she not only loves her furry-clients, but takes her responsibility as their guardian very much to heart. I have highly recommended Evelyn to friends, and am very grateful to have such a caring & competent 'Auntie' available when we travel.

"Auntie Evie has been our pet sitter for six years. We love her visits. She plays with us,pets us, feeds us and makes us know that everything is O.K. at home while Mommy and Daddy are away. She also takes care of our pretty plants around the decks so we know they are happy and  loved also.

Sincerely,
Spitfire and Lovejones"

Auntie Evie has been my pets' second momfor about twelve years. After Conrad passed, friends would stop me on the street to offer their condolences. I asked how they knew. It was throughAuntie's Newsletter, they explained, in the article about the dear furry ones we have lost. When I became the mother of a roster and a hen at work, Icalled Evelyn and hesitantly asked if she would consider nannying them. She immediately came over in rubber boots for orientation. The rest is history. She and Auntie Bonnie havetenderly cared for our cats andchickens, which means we can go anywhere and never worry about what's happening at home.

Josie came to us from HART. Her previous family had brought her to the county animal shelter because she wasn't getting along with their other cat, who beat her up. She lived outdoors and slept in the garage. HART rescued her.I had resolved that I wanted an adult, short-haired cat. An adult, because they are generally harder to place. I do a lot of yarn handwork, and I didn't want a kitten making a mess of it. No long-haired cats to present grooming issues and leave hair all over the house. She climbed into my arms as we walked around the HART shelter. When I went to put her down, she simply wouldn't go. We accepted that she was our new cat: a long-haired kitten.  She was seven months old then, born in April 2007 and coming to us in November.  HART described her as a Lynx-Point Himalayan. Her coat is very thick and fine. As a kitten, her body was very light colored. With maturity, her coat is getting darker. She is not inclined toward much personal grooming, but enjoys being brushed. Her eyes are bright blue, slightly crossed. We love her exactly the way she is. She loves Auntie Evie and we are grateful to have such good care when we must be out of town. It puts our minds at ease.
